MEET CLAIRE

My name is Claire Ladnier, M.S., Experienced-Registered Yoga Teacher-500, Yoga Medicine® Therapeutic Specialist, and RAD Mobility Movement Specialist 1&2 (myofascial products).

I have worked with a wide variety of ages and athletes addressing neck, shoulder, back, and hip pain, scoliosis, disc related issues, injury prevention, and much more. My specialty is working one-on-one and developing individualized therapeutic programs.

These sessions can be beneficial for most anyone new to yoga, athletes, or the curious individual who wants to learn more about how to improve functional mobility.

Because I have scoliosis, I believe this makes me work harder to find exercises and yoga poses that fit your body and needs. This isn't pretzel yoga and touching your toes isn't required.

I am enrolled in the 1000 hour Yoga Medicine Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Program and have chosen to work with Scoliosis as a specialty. Please visit www.yogamedicine.com if you wish to learn more about my unique approach to yoga in the Pine Belt area.

I love to learn and believe I will always be a student!

I am deeply fascinated by the study of Fascia, and the powerful effects of myofascial release.  I include this technique in all of my private sessions and yoga classes. I continue to study in person and online with Meredith Stephens, Tiffany Cruikshank, and Tom Myers.

My influential teachers have included: Tiffany Cruikshank, Meredith Stephens, Judith Hanson Lasater, Tom Myers, Bryan Kest, and many others. My style is a combination of these experiences. I highly value my students who given me the opportunity to learn from them over the past fifteen years.

I have a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from USM and retired fourteen years ago after working for the Department of Mental Health for twenty five years. Lucky me to have found a second vocation that doesn't feel like a job and always gives me learning experiences.

Claire takes a personal approach to getting to know your needs and limitations. I've been attending for over a year and my balance, flexibility, and strength have improved. Her use of myofascial release has helped me release stress levels in my body.
